For 2021, we are holding our Japanese Language Festival 2021, which consists of two events: the “38th Annual Washington State Japanese Speech & Skit Contest,” and the Japanese Language Festival online event.

“38th ANNUAL WASHINGTON STATE JAPANESE SPEECH & SKIT CONTEST”
This year, the 38th Annual Washington State Japanese Speech & Skit Contest was held as an online event, and we invited high school and college students from all over Washington State to submit a video of themselves giving a speech or performing a skit in Japanese. For the Speech Contest, students could talk about the theme “My Year in 2020.” For the Skit Contest, we invited students to perform a skit based on any theme of their liking.

Winners of the Japanese Speech & Skit Contest will be announced during the Japanese Language Festival 2021 on March 6.
