HBCC Brings Back Anime-Related Tourism in Hyogo and Kansai
On August 18th-21st, the Hyogo Business & Cultural Center (HBCC) had the exciting opportunity of participating as exhibitors at Emerald City Comic Con 2022! Our booth was located in the convention’s “Pop Asia” section, in which we, the Consulate General of Japan in Seattle, and ANA (All Nippon Airways) worked side-by-side to inform guests about traveling to Japan, our organizations’ activities, and various Japan-related programs.
At this event, we teamed up with some wonderful volunteers to introduce Hyogo Prefecture and the Kansai region of Japan. We got to meet a great number of people (many dressed up in fantastic cosplay) who were eager to learn about Hyogo, travel to Japan, and take photos in front of our Himeji Castle backdrop. As a plus, Hyogo's mascot character “Habatan” made a few appearances to pose for photos with guests and help us introduce our booth!
