10 students from Sasayama Homei High School visited the Hyogo Business and Cultural Center on March 31st. From March 19th they stayed in Sasayama’s Sister City, Walla Walla. While participating in homestays, they also did exchange activities such as a tour of Walla Wall and experiencing lessons at Walla Walla High School.
On their way home, they made a stop in Seattle. Office staff member, Jessica, gave an English presentation on the activities of the office and Washington State. The students seemed accustomed to English and asked questions cheerfully. In addition, the principal for the Seattle Japanese School, Mr. Nakano, who is an alumnus of Sasayama Homei High School, came and gave a greeting to the students. Sasayama and Walla Walla have been sister cities for 45 years. We hope to continue to foster friendly relations with high school student exchanges.
